Usually Surgery is advised for Anal Fistula treatment. But it is not a good choice for the reason of recurrence of problem after treatment and other complications like stool incontinence etc. Whereas this problem can be completely treated by Ayurvedic Ksharsutra Treatment. Clinical trials conducted by Indian Council of Medical research (ICMR) at AIIMS New Delhi, PGI Chandigarh have proved that Ksharsutra treatment is more convenient and more effective than Surgery in patients suffering from Anal fistula. In this treatment; Ksharsutra - a medicated thread is placed in Fistula tract. Medicine released from Ksharsutra debrides the fistula tract and indices healing. This medicine works for 5 -7 days so old Ksharsutra need to be replaced by a new one at a week or 10 days interval. No. of Ksharsutra changes required for complete healing of Fistula tract depends on depth, direction and branching pattern of fistula. It is observed that fistula heals @ 0.5 to 1 cm per sitting i.e. to say that a fistula of 3 cm length needs 4-5 sittings for complete healing. No hospitalization or bed rest is required in this treatment. patient can continue your daily routine activities as usual. For further support and appointment you may call reception at 011-27053 357.
