Ankle swollen with itchyness
My father's right leg's ankle is swollen along with itchyness and mild pain..which he suspects might be due to some insects bite while in the farm. He is able to do his regular jog swollen reduces during walk/jog but again increases once he is at the rest.Swollen also has created sort of numbness in the ankle..It's been 2days since the incident hapenned but he bought this to our notice today. As a home remedy he inserted his swollen legs in hot salt water... I have attached the pics..kindly suggest on what to do next. Pre history : he is diabetic but it's in control so issue may be largely due to some insect bite in the farm. Thanks

This may be cellulitis. In which case you may need hospitalization and intravenous antibiotics. Another possibility is Hansen's disease in reaction, as you said there's numbness. There are other differentials too. More information is needed.
Next Steps
A thorough evaluation is warranted at the earliest.
Health Tips
Keep the legs raised on 2 pillows while lying down. Keep them raised on a stool while sitting. Consult online for detailed guidance.

Are u sure there was no trauma?. It looks like some soft tissue injury must have happened. Detailed history is needed to understand the situation better. Kindly consult online.
