Likely a fracture, need an xray to confirm. Till then atleast need to be immobilised, with limb elevation and toe movements for swelling to subside.
Next Steps
Consult an orthopedician, might need surgery

The ankle & foot looks swollen. If the injury has happened due to a twist or fall. I’d recommend her to consult a doctor & get a X-ray done asap.
Next Steps
- Apply a crepe bandage around it & icing it will help with the swelling. - Consult a orthopaedic surgeon & get a X-ray. - Keep the leg elevated using two pillows underneath.
Health Tips
Keep the toes and ankle moving. Avoid putting weight till the X-ray is done & any fracture has been ruled out.
