I m suffering from ankle swelling from past few days ... i am not walking or running much but still there is swelling ... what could be the main reason

Ankle swelling can be due to
- anemia or protein deficiency
- disease like hypothyrpidism
- problem of blood circulation in leg veins
- accumulation of lymphatic fluid in tissue around ankles
- medicine side effects like oral contraceptives pain killers high bp medicines steroids or depression medicines
