Anger control

My father had financial crisis about 20 years ago, after this he often get very angry and uncontrollable but this symptoms was improved by taking medicine. The disease was relapsed about 5 year ago and now medicine is not effective enough. Current problem is Hyperorality, anger, started ocassional smoking, sometime irritates other family member, sometime he do irrelevant things such as change the door without reason, stick thermocols on wall and many more.

Kindly do an MRI brain to rule out other medical causes, which may lead to these sypmtoms. Both psychiatry and neurology opinion can b taken. Best wishes

Do visit the same Dr to whom you consulted some time before. Also consult a psychologist too to handle and resolve his old issues , so that along with the treatment session would be beneficial to recover faster.

Hi, from your description of your father, it seems he may suffering from either Bipolar disorder or some Psychosis. He needs to consult a Psychiatrist . You have mentioned that medication is not very effective now, may be a review of the disorder and change of medication will help. He can definitely get better.
