Wisdom teeth removal

2023-10-08 04:00:19
Hello, after a recent x-ray(attached), I was recommended to go for an operation to remove all 4 wisdom teeth. I suffer from no pain but still the doctor supports the removal in order to avoid any possible future problem due to the positioning of the wisdom teeth. The operation date is in 2 days and I am still not confident to go ahead with it. Kindly advice.

hello, your lower wisdom teeth are horizontally impacted. its better to remove them to avoid further complication like retaining food particles, sudden pain at night, pericoronitis etc. in future

Hello mam Yes you have 4 impacted wisdom teeth and as it is shown in the xray they are putting pressure on the adjacent teeth. You might have noticed food lodgement behind the last lower teeth   This will lead to cavity which will go unnoticed until you have pain ( cavity reaches nerve of the tooth). Today or tomorrow you have to get it removed but its completely your choice now unless you have any symptoms. For now you can get one wisdom tooth removed if you feel okay after that then you can proceed with other wisdom teeth also. The teeth adjacent to wisdom tooth which have chances of getting cavity because of food lodgement are very important in chewing of food.
Next Steps
Its completely your choice..if you want to think about it then you can plan the surgery accordingly.. Don't worry about the surgery part ..just be calm and go for it.

Your wisdom teeth are impacted for sure ( the lower ones) but if you Don’t have any symptoms or problem caused by these teeth and your upper ones are not carious and asymptomatic don’t need to go in for extraction. You can get them extracted any time if they trouble you.
