Hello firstly white patches can be due to various reasons.if you have habit of smoking or alcohol consumption it can be leukoplakia which is a non cancerous lesion but should be monitored closely for any cancerous changes. It can also be a fungal infection like candidiasis which require antifungal treatment. Sometimes it can be inflammatory condition like oral lichen planus and needs treatment.
