Whether root canal needed or cement

2018-11-26 07:35:22
A part of my lower molar teeth got broken due to food particles was getting stuck. I went to dentist and they took an xray (attached). Please let me know whether RCT would be required or normal cementing will do. I want to avoid RCT as it is somewhat painful, requires multiple sitting and is costly as well.

Yes, Root Canal Treatment followed by a Crown is required for the concerned tooth . Advised to consult an experienced Endodontist for the same , and with proper local anaesthesia, the treatment can definitely be painless. You can go for a Single -sitting RCT , but charges might be higher for that.

Hello sir! From your x-ray,  the decay is very close to the inner layer- pulp and it definitely requires RCT. Filling will not be retentive as one wall is complete damaged. RCT followed by crowns is the permanent solution.
Next Steps
Kindly visit your dentist and get it treated soon to avoid further infection.

Hello,      From the x ray, it looks like your tooth will need a RCT and crown.      Root canal fillings are NOT painful, they can be done in ONE visit, and are successful.    Of course there is the fees, which varies from place to place. Hope this helps. Regards Dr Jose Emmanuel Ernakulam
Next Steps
Please consult your dentist.
Health Tips
Delay might worsen the problem, it may help not to chew on that side, and to keep the area clean.

It is better to opt for RCT and crown as you may get pain after filling if RCT is not done
