Weight loss problem

To whom it may concern, I have eaten 2080 calories today and I feel devasted about it. The reason why is because I feel that I will gain a lot of weight due to the fact that I aim to eat 900 as I lose weight quicker. I am 5'7 and 80 or 78kg which is overweight for a female. I aim to be 65kg or 70kg at least. The question is why can I not lose weight when I eat less than 2000 calories a day? Today was an exception because I ate a whole jug of icecream 1kg and now I feel bad.

Hi there definitely it is not good idea to be self mentor everytime. Following your routine in such a way will just make you pill up weight. Calorie counting doesnt work all time time. Infact if you count & eat or skip meals to compensate you will simply screw your body more as metabolism gets crashed..
