Hello, Your symptoms of upper abdominal heaviness, discomfort, and a sensation of something being stuck following an episode of vomiting and diarrhoea may be associated with post-infectious functional dyspepsia, gastritis, acid reflux (GERD), or temporary changes in gastric motility. Although your appetite and bowel movements have returned to normal, persistent discomfort affecting daily activities requires further evaluation. If the sensation is related to swallowing food, an oesophageal problem should also be considered. Improvement after pantoprazole and drotaverine does not necessarily confirm gastritis as the underlying cause.
Next Steps
Consult a general physician or gastroenterologist, as your discomfort is persistent and affecting daily activities. Depending on clinical examination, your doctor may recommend CBC, liver function tests, abdominal ultrasound, or H. pylori testing. If symptoms persist or swallowing difficulties develop, an upper GI endoscopy may be appropriate. Eat smaller, frequent meals and avoid oily, spicy foods, excessive caffeine, and carbonated drinks. Avoid restarting injections, antispasmodics, or acid-suppressing medicines without medical advice.
Health Tips
Maintain adequate hydration, eat slowly, and avoid lying down for 2–3 hours after meals. A short walk after eating may help relieve bloating and abdominal heaviness. Seek medical attention if you develop severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing, inability to pass stools or gas with abdominal distension, vomiting blood, or black stools. Most post-infectious digestive symptoms improve gradually, but persistent discomfort deserves proper assessment. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

What you're describing sounds like your stomach is still settling after that bout of vomiting and loose motion, sometimes called post infectious gastritis. Since your appetite and stool are normal, this stuck feeling is usually temporary and often eases over one to two weeks on its own.
Next Steps
Try smaller, more frequent meals, and avoid spicy, oily, or very cold food for now. Staying upright for a while after eating also helps. If it isn't easing, ask your doctor whether continuing the antacid still makes sense or whether a gastroenterologist review is needed.
Health Tips
See a doctor sooner if the discomfort turns severe, you keep vomiting, notice blood in vomit or stool, or lose weight without trying.
