Hi. Your xray doesn't seem to show a fracture. But you may have torn your ligaments while twisting the ankle. This will take 2 weeks for the pain to go and 2 months to heal properly. Protect your ankle from twisting again by using ankle binder/brace. And use heat packs now instead of ice and apply diclofenac gel twice a day. Don't worry about the red bruise it's the blood inside which had leaked when your injury happened. It changes colour during recovery.

Hello Would like to know more details like your weight and height? How did the injury happen and can you also send a picture of your swollen ankle for assessment? X ray appears normal without fracture. Ankle sprain are of different grades and the recovery time are interdependent.
