2026-09-06 03:30:02
Hi doc, i was opening opening a chopstick from packet in restraunt , i got a tiny sprinkle of that wooden chopstick in my palm skin. It was very thin. i removed it, with my finger, i didn't saw any blood. so i am confused if i should take . My history of vaccine shot: * 11 June 2025 * 28 November 2025 * 21 March 2026 I am not sure whether I completed the primary TT vaccination course in childhood.

Clean the puncture well with soap and running water; do not probe it further. Since your last documented tetanus dose was 21 March 2026, a booster is generally not needed now if these are valid doses. Carry the records so a doctor can confirm that your 3-dose primary series is complete. Please get an in-person wound review if a fragment may remain, or if redness, swelling, pus or fever develops. You may book a consultation with me for vaccination and wound advice.

A clean superficial splinter with no bleeding is low risk on its own, but three shots at those intervals since June 2025 sounds like a catch-up primary series rather than a completed one.
Next Steps
Please check with the clinic that gave you those doses whether the primary series is finished, that decides if this injury needs another dose now.

You won't require any vaccination,  only washing the wound would suffice
