Hi Doctors, Asking this for a friend. (Male, 36 years) I want to know if this can be reversed with lifestyle change or medication is required life long. Can you pls suggest best way to get rid of medicines. Thank you.

Hi, What we have is a report showing hypothyroidism. That's all. To give you a better answer, I will need to talk to the person concerned. In the meantime, do not skip the regular dose of thyroid medicines if he is on it and land up in an ICU due to dangerously low hormone levels. Thank you

Normal TSH and low t3 t4  points to secondary hypothyroidism.You can repeat the thyroid tests to confirm, consult with an endocrinologist in your area.

Need  life style change n diet plan drastically.  But u need medicine. Thyroxin100 mcg in empty stomach for two months. Add calcium as  thyroxine  is calcium depleting agent. Tab shalcal 500 o e at night. Not to stop u need follow up with MD physician or endocrinologist.
