Hello,
I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician (Ex Govt Medical Officer at RML Hospital, New Delhi), and your case has been allotted to me.
Thank you for explaining everything in detail. I understand your anxiety, especially when symptoms start after lifestyle changes and medical tests are done.
Based on the information you have shared, let me reassure you first:
Important reassurance
Your CBC is normal and your tumor markers CEA, CA 125, and CA 15.3 are all well within normal limits.
These reports are strongly reassuring and rule out any serious or cancer related cause for your symptoms.
Likely cause of your symptoms
The feeling of heaviness on the left side of the stomach, fullness, and pain in the center of the chest, especially after starting diet changes and exercise, is most commonly due to:
⢠Gastritis or acid reflux
⢠Gas and bloating
⢠Sudden dietary changes
⢠Increased abdominal pressure after exercise
⢠Stress and health related anxiety
â¢
Vitamin D injection can sometimes temporarily worsen gastric discomfort
These symptoms are functional and gastric in origin, not dangerous.
What you should do now
⢠Eat small and frequent meals
⢠Avoid spicy, oily, fried, and junk food
⢠Avoid tea, coffee, and late night meals
⢠Do not exercise immediately after eating
⢠Drink warm water
⢠Avoid lying down for at least 2 to 3 hours after meals
⢠Continue diet and exercise, but keep it moderate, not aggressive
⢠Practice stress control and deep breathing
When to consult a doctor immediately
⢠If pain becomes severe or progressive
⢠If there is persistent vomiting
⢠If there is black stool, blood in stool, or unexplained weight loss
⢠If chest pain is severe, radiates to arm or jaw, or is associated with breathlessness
Next step if symptoms persist
If symptoms do not improve in 7 to 10 days, further evaluation like ultrasound abdomen or upper GI evaluation may be advised, but at present there is no red flag.
Please remember that normal tumor markers and blood tests are very reassuring, and your symptoms are very commonly seen during weight loss and dietary transitions.
For personalised one to one consultation and proper gastric management, you can reach out to me directly on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven. A detailed discussion often brings faster relief and peace of mind.
