Spotting while taking ocp

Hi. I have been diagnosed with pcod and taking prescribed contraceptive pill dronis 30 and experiencing spotting almost daily and pinching pain in vagina for a few seconds that subsides after some time. Is it normal?

The dose of progesterone in Dronis is not adequate for you. Please consult a Gynaecologist in your area for a physical examination. If no abnormality is found then you may need a supplementary dose of progesterone. The time and duration of the treatment will depend on your symptoms and the examination findings.

Have an internal examination done by your gynaecologist, to check that there is no other cause for your spotting, an ultrasound maybe required too. If you are not taking the pills everyday and on time, in case you miss a day or two it may cause withdrawal spotting/bleeding.
