Constipation, painful defecation and lumps around the anus can occur with hemorrhoids or an anal fissure, but bleeding continuing for a month should not be assumed to be piles without examination. Please increase fluids and fibre, avoid straining and prolonged sitting on the toilet, and get a proper anorectal examination. Persistent/recurrent rectal bleeding may require further evaluation depending on examination findings. Kindly consult a General surgeon for further evaluation and treatment.
