Some problem is there

2026-08-09 13:48:49
I have been bleeding through my stool for almost a month now...most of the time I experience constipation, my diet is mostly good but I don't hydrate as often. . There are also lump kind of around my anal area and the part also itches sometimes, it's probably haemorrhoids but I have been taking  sitcom forte tablet as prescribed by my physician but the moment I stop taking it the bleeding starts the next day.

The symptoms are suggestive of hemorrhoids or an anal fissure due to recurrent constipation, but bleeding for almost a month should not be assumed to be piles without examination.
Next Steps
Increase water and fibre intake, avoid straining, and keep stools soft. A General Surgeon/Proctologist examination can confirm the cause and guide treatment
Health Tips
You can consult me with your symptoms for a proper assessment and treatment plan.

Surgery consultation is needed to asses whether its hemorrhoids or anal fissure, and if hemorrhoid than they need to asses the grade and accordingly decide whether to treat with medication or opt for surgery. Also to rule oit if there is any other underlying condition.
Next Steps
For symptomatic relief you can take 1.Syp cremaffin 10ml before bedtime 5 days (for constipation), 2.Lignocaine 2% gel local application- after bath/defaecation (for pain relief) Also 3. Sitz bath

Constipation, painful defecation and lumps around the anus can occur with hemorrhoids or an anal fissure, but bleeding continuing for a month should not be assumed to be piles without examination. Please increase fluids and fibre, avoid straining and prolonged sitting on the toilet, and get a proper anorectal examination. Persistent/recurrent rectal bleeding may require further evaluation depending on examination findings. Kindly consult a General surgeon for further evaluation and treatment.

You have already mentioned one reversible reason which can help you....that is hydrate yourself well. Use fiber rich food. Avoid oily spicy food Sitz bath Sitcom forte is used to treat internal and external hemorrhoids (piles), control rectal bleeding, reduce swelling, and relieve pain, itching, and discomfort. If even that fails to help you, better to undergo haemorrhoidectomy ( surgical removal of pile)
Next Steps
feel free to consult me on practo if you have any further queries
