Slightly broken tooth cap

5 Years back i had root canal surgery for my molar tooth and after 3yrs Cap was broken slightly forming a cavity though it is not having pain i want to get rid off it. What is the solution for this?

If the cap is broken but the core is intact You can opt for new crown If core is broken , then it might require re rct! You wont be having symptoms now! But it need to be verified on xray and test
Next Steps
Visit the dentist who did this , he / she is well aware of history

If you r not having any pain.... u can just go for replacement of cap (crown) on ur tooth. but before u proceed for any treatment, u have to take xray and confirm for good health of this tooth.

If you have no pain on this tooth, u can just go for replacement of crown.

Have a consultation with your dentist... Take an x-ray and replace the cap... Do not delay because once if the tooth fracture, your tooth cannot be saved... Once after clinical examination only, the treatment plan can be confirmed...
