Shooting pain in right hand from squats

2023-06-26 19:09:04
I am experiencing pain on my right arm while performing squats. I don't think it's due to the placement of the bar since I am fine doing calf raises with the bar on my shoulders. I sometimes experience the same pain while doing bench press as well but only mild. Can anyone help me identify the problem?

Shooting pain in the right hand during squats may be due to a nerve or muscle injury. It's important to consult a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. In the meantime, you can try modifying your squat technique to reduce pressure on your hands, such as using wrist wraps or gloves, adjusting your grip, or using a different type of barbell. Additionally, physiotherapy techniques such as manual therapy, soft tissue massage, and exercise therapy can help relieve pain and prevent future injuries.

The most common reason is the calculation of RM or repetition maximum. If you reduce load by 25% and repetitions by 20-30% and in a week to 10 days pain reduces, that'll indicate the above understanding is right l.
