My friend is having severe pain in his lower back for 2days. He has a sitting job so he have to sit all day. He had muscle spasms since yesterday and due to severe pain he took ugesic 20 for two times but today he is having more pain in his lower back that he is not able to sit and not even able to stand or go to washroom. He had also apply diaclofinac gel and did hot water bath but nit getting relief in the pain. Please suggest what to do now? Any medicines which is helpful for reliving pain so please do let me know.

Backache with muscular spasm usually lasts for 3-4 days .Bed rest , application of ice pack initially and hot water pack, continuation of analgesics, muscle relaxant should help him If his pain is not improving ,let him consult with a orthopedist.
