Your vitamin D level is low Below 30 considered as vitamin D deficiency. Better to have Vit D in between 30 and 60. The deficiency may be due to less vitamin in diet or due to indoor living with out exposure to sunlught. It is better to have vitamin D and calcium supplements. Contact through practo.

Deficiency of vitamin D is common in females and vegetarians. and can be managed using calcium and vitamin D supplements. The reasons vary , the main one being inadequate sunlight exposure, because sunlight exposure is important for our body to synthesize vitamin D. Being obese, decreased absorption from the gut, and kidney problems may also be the cause of vitamin D deficiency.

There are many over the counter supplements containing vitamin D and calcium . Also, please try to get adequate sunlight exposure. Diet including dairy products, egg yolks, fish will help.

There can be a lot of reasons why your vit D is low starting from being more common in females to low intake of milk, estrogen level etc. Start with vit D3 (cholecalciferol) sachet 60k weekly once for 8 weeks and get it rechecked. Have it with a glass of water/milk after meal.

Vit D deficiency is quiet common.. because there are very less dietary sources., u get it from sunlight.. and there is decreaed sunlight exposure usually.. take cholecalciferol (vit D3 ) sachet.. dissolve in milk.. once a week for 6 weeks

Vitamin D the most important function is to increase the efficiency of absorption of calcium and other minerals in the body . There are many causes for vit D deficiency , like Decreased sun exposure , decreased intake , malabsorption,medicine intake , hormonal cause . For u , need further medical history to find the cause .
