What you’re describing is very common in newly married relationships, especially when intimacy is completely new and there has been little prior discussion or experience. Feeling shy, nervous, having a fast heartbeat, trembling, or anxiety when your husband comes close can happen because your mind and body are adjusting emotionally, physically, and psychologically. A few things may help:- Don’t pressure yourself to “perform” or become comfortable immediately. Emotional comfort usually develops gradually. Start with small steps of closeness instead of directly focusing on sexual intercourse:          1. talking openly,          2. sitting together,          3. holding hands,         4. hugging,         5. resting near each other,         6. gentle affection. • Tell your husband honestly that you feel shy and anxious because     everything is new for you. A supportive husband usually understands this better when it is communicated calmly. • Spend more time building emotional comfort during the day, not only at night. Friendship reduces fear. • Before intimacy, try slow deep breathing and avoid overthinking “what will happen.” • It is completely okay to say “go slowly.” Intimacy should never feel forced or rushed. If intercourse is attempted: • relaxation and lubrication are important, • pain or fear can increase if the body is tense, • foreplay and emotional comfort matter a lot. Lack of knowledge about physical relations is also common. You can learn gradually together through trusted educational resources or discussions with a gynecologist if needed. The palpitations and anxiety you feel are often related to nervousness and anticipation. Since you previously mentioned that your ECG and thyroid tests were normal, this sounds more consistent with anxiety/shyness than a dangerous heart issue. However, if you get chest pain, fainting, severe breathlessness, or palpitations even outside these situations, then a medical evaluation is important. Most importantly: • intimacy should happen with comfort, trust, consent, and patience, • there is no “correct timeline,” • many couples take days or weeks to become fully comfortable.

Dear practo user, having shyness in early days of marriage is a common problem faced by many young women especially in terms of relationship. You should spend more time with your partner, know each other's interests and dislikes and go for outings. Understanding and feelings for each other will gradually develop compatibility between you both. This will take little time but surely you don't need any medicines for this issue.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your concern. First of all, please don’t worry — what you are experiencing is quite common in newly married women, especially when there is shyness, lack of awareness, or emotional hesitation. As a homeopathic doctor, I would suggest you the following approach: • Reassurance: Your symptoms like shyness, palpitations, and anxiety are mainly due to emotional sensitivity and new environment adjustment. This is not a disease, but a natural phase. • Open Communication: Try to communicate gently with your husband. Share your feelings honestly. A supportive partner can reduce your fear and help you feel comfortable. • Take it Slowly: There is no need to rush into physical intimacy. Build emotional bonding first. Comfort and trust automatically improve physical relations. • Relaxation Techniques: Practice deep breathing, meditation, or simple relaxation before meeting your husband. This will reduce palpitations and anxiety. • Basic Knowledge: You can gradually educate yourself about marital relationships from reliable and respectful sources. Proper knowledge reduces fear. • Emotional Support: Spend quality time together (talking, walking, laughing). This strengthens connection and reduces hesitation. • Homeopathic Support: Based on your symptoms (shyness, anxiety, palpitations), remedies like Ignatia, Pulsatilla, or Gelsemium may be helpful — but exact medicine should be selected after detailed case taking. • When to Consult: If anxiety is very intense or persists for long, kindly consult privately for proper counselling and individualized treatment. You are completely normal, just give yourself some time. With proper understanding and emotional comfort, everything will settle naturally. Take care 🌸

It can be well treated with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine effectively and without any side effects. It needs to be addressed in a holistic approach for complete recovery. Dear Madam, What you are experiencing is completely natural, especially in a newly married phase. Many women feel shy, anxious, or even fearful during the initial days of marriage due to lack of knowledge and emotional adjustment. The symptoms you mentioned like heart palpitations, nervousness, and anxiety when your husband comes close are due to anticipation and fear of the unknown, not because of any disease. Why this happens: Lack of proper knowledge about physical relationship Cultural conditioning (feeling that intimacy is something to be shy or scared about) Emotional unfamiliarity with partner Fear of pain or performance What you can do: Take it slowly Physical intimacy is not something that should be rushed. It is okay to take your own time. Communicate with your husband Share your feelings honestly. A supportive partner will understand and help you feel comfortable. Start with emotional bonding Spend time talking, laughing, and being close without pressure for physical relation. Learn gradually Understanding your own body and intimacy in a healthy way will reduce fear. Relaxation techniques Deep breathing or calming yourself before being close can help reduce palpitations. No pressure There is no “right time” or “performance expectation.” Comfort and consent are most important. If anxiety is very severe or continues for long, you can consult a doctor or counselor for guidance A physical relationship should be based on comfort, trust, and mutual understanding, not fear. With time, your shyness will naturally reduce.if you want you can take consultation i do councelling as well Regards Dr Jyoti Kadkol Health Global Homoeopathy,Vijaynagar, whitefield Bangalore www.healthglobalclinics

First of all it's not a problem, it's completely normal to feel shy & hesitate in front of your husband  esp. when you're newly married.. Take it slow and let things progress naturally. Communicate openly with your husband about your feelings. Practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or yoga. Build intimacy gradually, starting with small, gentle interactions. It is completely normal to feel shy, anxious, or nervous in the beginning, especially in a newly married life. Many women go through similar feelings, so you are not alone in this. The palpitations and anxiety you feel are mainly due to nervousness and lack of comfort, not because something is wrong with you. Building a relationship—both emotional and physical—takes time.
Next Steps
Start slowly: Try to spend more time talking with your husband and building emotional comfort. Share your feelings honestly with him; a supportive partner will understand and help you feel at ease. Physical intimacy does not have to happen immediately. Take small steps like holding hands, sitting close, or simple affection. Relaxation techniques like deep breathing can help reduce anxiety.
Health Tips
Remember, intimacy should always feel safe, comfortable, and mutual. There is no pressure to rush. If your anxiety feels too strong or continues for a long time, you can consider speaking to a doctor or counselor for guidance. You will gradually feel more comfortable with time, trust, and understanding
