Regarding ankle sprain.

It's been 2 weeks since I got the ankle sprain. Pain has been reduced to some extent. Is it better to apply ice OR hot water ? And if we are applying ice even now is there any disadvantage?

I would recommend ice. R I C E R - Rest to the limb I - Ice C- Compression with crepe E - Elevation Add P to it Protection Ankle sprain needs to be evaluated and checked by a orthopedic doctor.
Next Steps
If not then the problem can become chronic so visit one seen

Dont do any strenuous activity running or dancing

Protect it  at least with crepe bandage ... Do alternate hot and ice fomentation.
