First it should be checked by HPLC method by designated laboratory according to NGSP.
Even mild Anemia due to Iron Deficiency and
B12 deficiency can lead to little false high Hba1c so it would prudent do your complete blood picture to see Hemoglobin and RBC morphology.
Anyways you should adopt lifestyle changes irrespective of these values as even when these values are normal but falling in higher normal range you are at risk of progression to
Diabetes over the time.
