Please get a check up done from your dentist to rule out a high point on the crown or encroachment of the  crown margins onto the gums (technically called violation of biological width) which is another common reason for pain after crown placement.

Consult your dentist at the earliest

Review with dentist for removal of high points in cap or Due to followed by immediate Rct,if you may feel pain which will subside eventually.

Dear practo user Might be due extra pressure on tooth or high point. Visit dental clinic nearby and get it checked. Simply can get relief with cap grinding.

If your root canal was completed one day ago then it is normal to feel some discomfort for a few days after. However if your pain still persists after 3-4 days then I would advise that you go back to your dentist and get a bite check done. If your root canal was done a while ago but pain started only when the cap was placed then please visit your dentist immediately to get the bite checked. Provided the root canal treatment and bite check are both okay- you should have absolutely no pain with either the temporary or permanent crown.

The temporary  capping should  not be giving  you  pain,  unless  there  is a high  point on the cap, If it is root canal treated tooth, then it due to the treatment In both cases please  visit your dentist  immediately,  no point waiting.
