Discuss with your operated orthopaedic surgeon and the radiologist. MRI to be done only if it is necessary

Why MRI was advised for thigh pain ? To rule out disc prolapse and nerve compression ? If it can be treatable with physio , medication and activity modification then try them instead of directly going for MRI . If everything tried then if not MRI , ask for ct myelogram in case of lumbar spine .

As I can see your hip joint looks okay to me and implant is also well fixed to bone. There is clear cut guidelines that MRI can be done with well fixed Orthopaedic implants. So you can go for an MRI safely.

Most of the time the screws will be SS only. Even if it is SS, you can do MRI in Emergency conditions. However, the books say not to do MRI. But, in practice,  we will do if there is any Emergency.

You have not mentioned which MRI has been suggested and for what reason Likelihood that MRI hip may have been suggested to look out for AVN of femur head You need to consult your operating doctor You can still get done your MRI with SS screws but artefacts will be much more Other option can be You can get your screws removed and followed by you can grt done MRI but for that you have to again go for surgical stress So rather than wasting time , consult your operating doctor He will much more helpful

Yes it can be done. Confirm the metal screws with your operating surgeon anyway before doing the MRI.
