⢠Weight loss is recommended in overweight or obese individuals. A weight loss of 5-10 per cent helps in the reversal of the disease.
⢠Ration your portions of energy dense foods whole grain cereals, nuts, seeds, legumes. Ensure to eat nutritionally balanced meals. Make sure that you include fiber rich foods, good quality and quantity of protein and rationed amounts of good quality of carbohydrates in each meal.
⢠Fill half your plate with seasonally available vegetables in your meals.
⢠Opt for non-vegetable proteins source like fish (at least twice a week), de-skinned chicken, and egg and low-fat dairy products.
