Hi... Lot of couples these days face such issues. This idea of a great sexual life is more media/social media created, most couples learn about each other's preferences and likings over time.
Need to ask few questions:
1. Did you guys dated before marriage or was it an arranged marriage?
2. Is he living under lot of stress (personal/professional)?
3. Did you guys ever spoke about your past history (romantically/sexually)?
Intimacy is a two way street. A couple has to develop a certain level of emotional and mental closeness to be able to share and explore their sexuality. This idea of men always being ready for the act, is not true. Some people are more sexual than others but it's hardly based on gender.
In this particular case, I believe there is a gap (mental) between you two and it is inhibiting you both to explore your sexual life together.
