This may be a normal finding in a few children but has to be clinically correlated. If weight loss and other history present more work up may be required
Next Steps
visit nearest paediatrician

Why have you done this ultrasound. Any symptoms or any issues . It can be due to a recent viral or GI infection . But reports should to correlated with child clinical conditions .

Greetings In young children, multiple enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes (commonly termed mesenteric lymphadenitis) are very frequently a temporary, reactive response to minor, self-limiting viral infections.A direct evaluation by a pediatrician is highly recommended to correlate these ultrasound findings with a physical exam and rule out other causes of childhood abdominal pain.Potential underlying causes for these symptoms include viral gastroenteritis, localized bacterial infections, or primary nonspecific mesenteric lymphadenitis.Standard home management usually centers around supportive measures, including adequate hydration, plenty of rest, and eating easily digestible meals.

Hi We need proper history and examination. Mesentric lymph nodes can be enlarged after viral infections/ gastroenteritis etc. If the child is symptomatic, she might need a course of antibiotics. If she is a symptomatic then we can wait and watch . Kindly DM so that I can take proper history and can suggest you better.

Hello, Mesenteric lymph nodes can become enlarged following a viral illness or a gastrointestinal infection and are often a reactive finding in children. An ultrasound showing mesenteric lymph nodes of the mentioned size, without any other abnormal findings, is not by itself conclusive of a specific disease and should always be interpreted along with the child’s symptoms and clinical examination. However, if your child has persistent or worsening abdominal pain, recurrent vomiting, fever, weight loss, poor appetite or any other concerning symptoms, further evaluation by a paediatrician is recommended to determine the underlying cause.

It’s enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes. If child is still symptomatic then we need to do blood tests and treat accordingly if any significant infection. Also ensure deworming and anemia correction if found

Happens due to any recent infection probably viral in origin. Give symptomatic treatment only if your child is otherwise active.
