A single soft mobile swelling under the chin at 26 is almost always a reactive lymph node - from a throat infection, a dental problem or skin infection nearby. Do not panic about cancer; those nodes are hard, fixed and painless and come with weight loss or night sweats. Reactive nodes shrink slowly and can take 3-6 weeks even after the infection clears, so 5 days of Clavam not "melting" it is expected and stopping antibiotics on your own is worse. Get your teeth and throat checked - a bad molar is a very common cause.

There are many possibilities but to differentiate them the properties of lump matters like size, fixity, tenderness, movement to evaluate this you need to consult a physically As I am seeing that small lump It would be mostly a Enlarged lump node Commonly it enlarges in viral infection and Tuberculosis But we need to co relate it with your symptoms As you are on antibiotics it is difficult to correlate with the symptoms as of now

A lump in the neck under the jaw is most commonly a swollen lymph node reacting to a nearby infection like a cold, sore throat, or dental issue. Other potential causes include salivary gland blockages, benign cysts, or localized skin growths. Most causes are harmless and resolve as the body heals. If you recently had upper respiratory infection, then it will resolve once when inflammation subside. If the lump is palpable and persistent for more than 3 weeks consult a general surgeon. Get ultrasound soft tissue of the lump,to see its contents. From the photo u have provided, it just looks like a boil. Can't make out its size and contents. Get an opinion from general surgeon.

Lump under the chin for 5 days is commonly due to a reactive lymph node from throat, dental or skin infection. The photo alone cannot confirm the cause. Please check for fever, sore throat, dental pain or skin infection. Avoid extending/changing antibiotics without examination.

This is most likely a reactive lymph node and can take 1–3 weeks to gradually reduce even after the infection improves. Complete the prescribed antibiotic course, take paracetamol if painful and use warm compresses. Please get examined if it is increasing in size becomes hard/fixed or persists beyond 2–3 weeks; an ultrasound may be advised if it doesn’t regress.
