Left side stomach pain

My husband is having left side stomach pain since 3 months..since childhood he has the same problem.doctor told because of gastric.is this really gastric or some other problem because since 3 days he is having sometime severe pain.please suggest what could be the reason and what is the medication?

Can be due gastritis But still do USG abdomen to rule out other causes abdominal pain like kidney stone

Avoid coffee,tea and carbonated beverages Regular time meals and don't skip meals Avoid fatty ,spicy and oily foods Drink plenty of water atleast 2L per day
