Heel pain of 1 year duration is most likely due to plantar fascitis.Typically pain is worse in the morning and gets better . For short term relief You can try  with aescin tablets 2 times daily for a few days You can do plantar stretching exercises and roll over your foot using a bottle for a few minutes every day . Use soft medical insoles in your shoes Physiotherapy like ultrasonic followed by shockwave gives good results Get an xray to see the presence of calcaneal spur. As you have gastritis frequent use of pain killers is to be avoided
Next Steps
To be certain ,you can consult with an orthopaedic surgeon .
