Yes ,you should definitely go for root canal treatment so that you can retain the tooth, else after sometime the only option will be extraction which will lead to difficulty in chewing food as the adjacent tooth is also missing.

Sir ,You need to do the root canal treatment if you want to save this tooth. As per the xray you provided the decay or severe attrition of tooth is deep and involving the pulp. The adjacent tooth is already missing in this xray so it is better to save this tooth by doing RCT followed by prosthetic crown
