Taking tablet Asomex 2.5 one every night, but still BP is showing as 130/80, is it ok. Also overweight and obese, if weight reduced then tablet can be stopped? Please help

BP at 130/80 mmHg with Amlodipine 2.5 mg is within the target level.Along with medicine , lifestyle modification , diet modification and exercising regularly for 30 minutes a day for 5 days in a week should be able to keep your blood pressure within the normal limits. If you adhere to above measures , perhaps you may be able to stop medicine which you are using with the lowest dose of 2.5 mg
