Yes it works. Syp Honytus..medicated syrup also main ingredient is honey works better for Dry irritative cough. It should be fresh and natural free from toxins and preservatives. It won't act against  cold.

I wouldn't recommend But would be helpful , if the child is having dry or wet cough ?
