At your age -medications is not first option becoz once statins ( cholesterol lowering agent ) started cannot be stopped Can start non statin drug which can be stopped once triglycerides comes to normal range First thing is to do change your lifestyle which includes diet/exercise/no stress/6-8hrs of sleep /good food Monitor lipids after 2months If no change or increase in the lipids then may have to start the drugs
Next Steps
Consult for better management

You may need to start medicines for your deranged lipid profile if you are overweight ( check your BMI), diabetic or hypertensive. Also, make sure you give a blood sample for lipid profile after fasting for at least 8 hrs. For further assistance/queries. Contact

Hi, Hope you are doing well. Based on what you have provided i would strongly advice you to start the following 1. A regular calorie counted diet 2. Aerobic exercise ( walking, jogging, running, swimming etc )- 30 mins a day for 5 days a week. Start slow 3. Avoid alcohol and smoking Do not panic over your reports. It's all right. Check your fasting sugars and blood pressure once Repeat the reports only after 3 months. The sample has to  be a fasting sample( 8 hours of no food, basically after you wake up give a morning sample) You don't directly need medicines to control this. Don't fall for that. Do consult for better information

A cholesterol-lowering diet typically includes a variety of foods rich in soluble fiber, healthy fats, and plant-based protein sources, such as oatmeal with berries and nuts, fatty fish like salmon and sardines, avocado toast on whole grain bread, lentil soup with vegetables and whole grain crackers, and stir-fries with turmeric, ginger, and a mix of colorful vegetables, while also emphasizing the importance of limiting or avoiding foods high in saturated and trans fats, such as red meat, full-fat dairy products, and processed snacks, and incorporating specific foods like almonds, walnuts, and olive oil, which are rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, and considering the benefits of plant sterols and stanols found in fortified foods like spreads and orange juice, all while staying hydrated with plenty of water and limiting sugary drinks.

Thank you for sharing your lipid profile report. Your triglycerides (255 mg/dL)and **total cholesterol (250 mg/dL)** are moderately elevated, which warrants attention to prevent long-term cardiovascular risks.  Key Recommendations: 1. Dietary Changes:     - Reduce intake of refined carbs (sugar, white bread, processed foods), fried items, and saturated fats (butter, red meat).     - Include omega-3-rich foods (flaxseeds, walnuts, fatty fish) and fiber (oats, vegetables, whole grains).     - Avoid alcohol and sugary beverages.  2. Lifestyle Modifications:    - Engage in 30–45 minutes of brisk walking or aerobic exercise daily.     - Aim for weight lossif overweight (even 5–10% reduction helps).  3. Medication (if needed):    - While statins (like Rosuvastatin) may be prescribed short-term, lifestyle changes are the cornerstone of management. Medication should only be taken under medical supervision after a detailed evaluation.  Next Steps: Since lipid imbalances can be influenced by underlying conditions (e.g., diabetes, thyroid issues), I recommend a **comprehensive consultation** to assess your metabolic health and tailor a plan. For further guidance, you can reach me on WhatsApp at **eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two**.
