Low fat or fat free dairy products such as cheese, yogurt, milk 5. High - fiber whole grain such as quinoa, barley, brown rice 6. Beans, nuts, and seeds which contain fiber and unsaturated, healthy fats Things to limit or avoid: 1. Limit alcohol consumption 2. Limit added sugar 3. Keep carbs 50-60 % or fewer of their total calories 4. Limit dietary fats to 25-35 % of their total daily calories 5.
