You can continue the medication. Along with that, stay hydrated, maintain a healthy diet, and get enough sleep to help you study better

Dolo 650mg is safe and works better. Hydration is very important. Even dehydration is also one of the causes of a headache.

Please at least get his BP, blood sugar, and CBC done and consult a General Physician in your area. He is having his exams. All the more reason that a proper treatment is started.

A sudden headache during bathing in an 18-year-old is most commonly due to tension headache, mild dehydration, stress, or fatigue, especially during exam periods when sleep patterns and stress levels change. If the headache is mild to moderate and there are no other symptoms like vomiting, blurred vision, fever, neck stiffness, or weakness, it is usually not serious and can be managed with simple measures.
Next Steps
• Instead of giving Naproxen immediately, it is generally safer to first give Paracetamol (500–650 mg) for headache relief. • Ensure he drinks water and rests for 20–30 minutes, as dehydration or fatigue can worsen headaches. • If the headache persists, he can take the medicine after food to avoid gastric irritation. • Seek medical attention if the headache is very severe, recurrent, associated with vomiting, vision problems, fever, or neck stiffness.
Health Tips
• Ensure he gets adequate sleep, especially during exams. • Encourage regular hydration, as dehydration is a common trigger for headaches. • Short screen breaks and eye relaxation can help reduce stress-related headaches. • Light meals and avoiding long gaps between meals can also prevent headaches during stressful days. If the headaches keep recurring during his exams or become severe, it would be better to review the pattern and triggers in detail—feel free to book an online consultation so I can guide you properly and help him stay comfortable during this important time.
