Fix Ortho treatment is required but before that,  frenectomy is to be done, so that the Muslims diastema,  does not relapse after the treatment,  as  it is d main cause for midline spacing.

Gap in upper teeth causes food lodgment which leads to periodontitis (Gum disease) leading to early loss of teeth. The gap needs to be closed. usually braces treatment closes the gap effectively. Ig the gap has re-opened, it can be because of (a) High frenal attachment -which needs to be removed. (b) Patient has not worn the retention plate after braces treatment. If the gap is small, orthodontist can do some alterations in the retention plate and that can be used to close the gap. If not braces, you can go for ; 1. Cosmetic filling 2. Crown/Veneers 3. Laminates

Gap between upper 2 front teeth is midline diastema. It can be easily corrected using braces treatment or similar applaince , but at the same time the cause of the gap needs to be corrected .
