The painful fluid-filled blisters below your lip, appearing after fever, are most likely due to Herpes labialis (cold sore), which is commonly triggered after fever or viral illness.
Next Steps
Keep the area clean and avoid touching or pricking the blisters. Apply an antiviral cream (like acyclovir topical) after consulting your doctor. If pain is severe, you may take paracetamol for relief. Avoid close contact (like kissing) until lesions heal, as it is contagious. If blisters spread, recur frequently, or don’t heal within 7–10 days, consult a Dermatologist.
Health Tips
Cold sores usually heal on their own, but early use of antiviral cream speeds recovery and reduces recurrence.

Hello, From your description and the photo, these fluid-filled, painful blisters below your lip appearing after fever are most likely Herpes labialis (cold sores), a common viral infection triggered by fever, stress, or low immunity. 🔹 What you can do now: Apply Acyclovir 5% cream locally on the blisters 3–4 times daily for faster healing. Keep the area clean and dry. Avoid touching or scratching the blisters as it can spread the infection. For pain or burning, you may take Paracetamol if required. Avoid sharing utensils, towels, or close contact (kissing) until lesions heal, as it is contagious. Generally, these blisters heal within 7–10 days. If they keep recurring frequently (more than 4–5 times a year) or become very severe, an oral antiviral course may be required under medical supervision. You can connect with me on Practo for a prescription and further guidance. – Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
