Fever in the evening

2025-05-23 04:55:42
I had a sore throat, swollen lymph node, bone and joint pain, low grade fever, have taken antibiotics augmentin for 10 days, had done cbc and everything, all reports are normal, still it has been one month I'm having a low grade fever that comes in the evening or night around 99.4-99.7 , with a sudden increase in palm temperature, the rest of the body stays cool. Also every morning I get up I have itchy throat , my lymph node is still there but has reduced much in size and everytime at night I feel little hot with ac on and blanket but its not like drenching yet I get sweat, is it a sign of cancer or tuberculosis, I'm attaching the reports, kindly check and let me know pls. I'm worried . I also have sneezing and scratchy feeling in throat sometimes at night only. I take pcod medications ovral g. My sgot is 48 and sgpt 99. Other reports like typhoid, malaria came back as normal.

CRP of 6.89 mg/L: • Indicates mild inflammation, but not highly elevated (No strong evidence of cancer or active TB so far, but continued evaluation is reasonable.) chill dear!! TRY VITAMIN B CAPSULE THAT WOULD HELP
Next Steps
1)consider a Mantoux test (Tuberculin skin test) or IGRA (Interferon Gamma Release Assay) to rule out latent or active TB. 2)A chest X-ray or neck ultrasound may help assess lymph nodes and exclude TB/lymphoma. For more detail you can contact me!
Health Tips
ENT consultation for persistent throat irritation may also help rule out allergic rhinitis or chronic pharyngitis.

Hello there, I have a few questions can u please specify the dosage u have been taking of augmentin and how many times a day have u been taking it..did someone prescribe it to u!? Please repeat your malaria and also do a dengue test It might be the case that ur body might be resistant to augmentin, to find that out go for antibiotics sensitivity test.. I think ur body might be generating autoantibodies so to rule out u are not having any autoimmune condition please do ANA test..so that we can rule that out.. And I would like to see ur thyroid levels as well.. Right now I would like to switch your medication..
Next Steps
Investigations as suggested Repeat malaria Dengue Thyroid profile Antibiotic sensitivity test ANA test* Medicine I am prescribing is Cefuroxime 500mg BD for 5 days Multivitamin OD for 30 days Vitamin C OD for 30 days Gargle and steam BD for 5 days Paracetamol 650 BD for 5 days Follow a healthy diet with 2 tomatoes and 2 fruits daily
Health Tips
Remain calm whatever it is we will find it and fight it, but firstly u need to do right investigations and take right dosage of a particular medicine
