How many days has it been since he got operated ? Please remember that there can be some other causes for fever apart from the surgery. Please your operating Surgeon.

During the initial post operative period,fever is not normal.It should be investigated.Ideally he should be examined by the surgeon who performed surgery.

After surgery Raise in temperature is normal . You can take Paracetamol or consult at your convenience

Check the dressing for any soaking or pus discharge.  Do CBC to check the WBC count.
