Dear patient, • Haemoglobin is slightly low (11.4 g/dL): Mild anemia, which can cause fatigue and weakness. • RBC count is mildly low (4.59 million/cu.mm) • Neutrophils are elevated (70%) – Suggests a possible bacterial infection. • Lymphocytes are slightly low – Common during infections. • MCH (24.8 pg) and MCHC (31.7%) are slightly below normal – Could be early nutritional deficiency (like iron). • Malaria test – Negative • Widal test – Shows reactive titers (1:80, 1:160) – May indicate possible enteric (typhoid) fever, but Widal alone is not confirmatory.
Next Steps
1. Hydration: Drink plenty of fluids, especially ORS/coconut water. 2. Diet: Take light, nutritious food like rice gruel, curd rice, and fruit. 3. Medication: • Start Paracetamol 500mg for fever/body pain – up to 3 times a day if needed. • You may require antibiotics and multivitamins after clinical examination. 4. Further Tests (if symptoms persist): • Dengue/typhoid confirmation (Typhidot/IgM/NS1) • Liver and kidney function test • Iron studies, Vitamin B12
Health Tips
• High fever (>101°F) not reducing • Persistent vomiting • Weakness increasing or confusion • Pain in the abdomen or chest Follow-up with a local physician for physical examination and prescription. Wish you a speedy recovery!
