I understood ur concern.
-- Sleep is very important process of body. It has
significant & vital role in proper functioning of
body. But before treating your sleep problem,
it's very important to know the start ,end and
total duration of ur sleep daily , if frequent
wake up is present through out nights then it
has to be evaluated.
** Sleep disturbance has many reasons ,some
common one I will tell:
1. Any body problem ( pain, night cough,
excessive urination)
2. Hormonal distrurbance.
3. Normal circadian rhythm is disturbed.
4. Drug induced sleep problem.
5. Any breathing difficulty.
6. Primary/idiopathic sleep disturbance.
7. Start of any psychiatric illness (depression,
Anxiety or else )
8. Any substance abuse ( nicotine, alcohol).
-- I don't want to scare you, but apart from
above lots of other factors influence ur sleep.
-- So all factors must me evaluated before
jumping to any conclusion or start any mode
of treatment.

*** SLEEP HYGIENE. ***
-- Basic you can do at home.
-- It's a lifestyle to condition ur body and
environment to induce sleep:
* Some exercise is morning is must.
* Afternoon sleep must be avoided.
* Dinner must be before 2 hrs of sleep
* Dinner must be very light .
* No caffeine, nicotine , alcohol or any
heavy fluid is good.
* Bed should be strictly used only for
sleeping no other work / activities is
allowed to happen over bed.
* Room must be dark, cool, silent.
* You can wash/keep ur feet into warm
water before sleep.
* If sleep don't happen in same bed ,change
and room & bed .
