Yes you can continue the same diet.
You should avoid simple carbohydrates and
sugar, saturated fats and cholesterol, red meats, junc foods, artificially sweetened foods and beverages, alcohol, smoking.
Include whole grain cereals of limited portion size as per your body requirements, adequate proteins in the form of egg whites, fish , skimmed milk, curd, pulses and legumes, plenty of leafy greens and other vegetables apart from roots and tubers in form of salads, soups and in cooked form, low glycemic fruits, nuts and seeds.
Drink lot of water, buttermilk, milkshakes, juices without sugar as snacking option to keep your system enough hydrated.
