The first thing is to take fibre rich food and plenty of water, preferably luke warm water, this might loosen the stools, avoid eating junk, spicy and oily food, lot of fruits and vegetables is best.. Do not be dependent on cremaffin,as far as possible avoid and adapt to natural ways, continue Anovate cream for fissures.take cremaffin if stools are too hard to pass.
Next Steps
inspite of following the above measures..no remedy ,then I would recommend to see general surgeon and take there opinion.
Health Tips
take plenty fibre rich food and water.

In your case the first step should be to consult a General Surgeon to find out if you need digital evacuation of the stools from the rectum. If your rectum is loaded with hard stools which can cause fissures then no laxatives will help you unless the hard stools are first evacuated by digital evacuation or an enema.

You can continue cremaffin plus. But also adopt measures to overcome constipation naturally. That includes taking high fiber diet, avoiding fatty meals, late evening meals, drinking more water, drink hot water before sleeping,  regular physical exercise. Get blood sugar done. After 10 to 15 days, once when your bowels become regular, try to skip cremaffin plus intermittently. Taking it continuously for a long time, makes bowels sluggish and kind of habituated to the laxative

A fissure caused by hard stool is usually an acute anal fissure. Your current approach is medically appropriate: • Cremaffin Plus (liquid paraffin + milk of magnesia + sodium picosulfate) → stool softening • Ano Metrogyl (metronidazole-based topical) → reduces local inflammation & infection risk Using Cremaffin Plus for 7–10 days is generally safe in otherwise healthy adults. Short-term use helps prevent re-injury while the fissure heals. Most acute fissures heal in 2–3 weeks if stool remains soft. The key is:
Next Steps
✔ Stool Softening Plan (10–14 days) • Cremaffin Plus at night (as advised dose on label) • Aim for soft, toothpaste-like stool consistency • Increase water intake (2.5–3 litres daily) If stools become loose → reduce dose. ⸻ ✔ Add These for Faster Healing • Warm sitz bath 10–15 min, twice daily • High-fiber diet (vegetables, soaked raisins, oats, flaxseed) • Avoid spicy, very oily food • Avoid prolonged sitting on toilet If pain is significant, topical lidocaine + nifedipine/diltiazem combination works better than antibiotic creams alone (if prescribed by doctor). ⸻ ✔ When to Reassess Consult if: • Pain persists beyond 3 weeks • Bleeding increases • Severe spasm pain continues • Recurrent fissures happen Chronic fissures need a different treatment protocol.
Health Tips
✔ Most acute fissures heal without surgery ✔ Soft stool is more important than any cream ✔ Overuse of stimulant laxatives long term is not advised ✔ Stress and dehydration worsen fissures ✔ Early management prevents chronic fissure formation You are managing it correctly so far. However, fissure treatment is more effective when tailored to stool pattern and pain severity — booking an online consultation would allow proper dosing guidance and help prevent this from becoming a chronic issue.

Dear Patient, Yes, taking Cremaffin Plus for up to 7–10 days is generally safe and commonly recommended to keep stools soft while an anal fissure heals. Soft stool is very important because passing hard stool can delay healing and increase pain. Using Ano-Metrogyl (local ointment) along with stool softener is also an appropriate treatment approach. What you should do: Take Cremaffin Plus at bedtime with adequate water Drink plenty of fluids (2–3 liters/day) High-fiber diet (fruits, vegetables, oats, isabgol if needed) Warm sitz bath (10–15 minutes) 2–3 times daily, especially after passing stool Avoid straining or prolonged sitting on the toilet Most acute fissures heal within 1–2 weeks with proper care. When to consult a doctor: - Severe persistent pain beyond 2 weeks - Bleeding continues - Recurrent fissure episodes - No improvement despite treatment Cremaffin Plus can be tapered once stools become soft and regular. For further guidance or personalized treatment, you can consult me online anytime.
