Complete Acl tear in my left leg

Last week I met an accident.. i got injured in my left leg.. in MRI it shows Complete ACL tear... Clinic Doctor advised me for ACL surgery... So I have  moved to hospital for surgery... But there doctor advised me to put brace for 6 weeks... I'm confused now which I need to follow ... Please assist me I have attached my MRI report Im a sports person... Which is best for me to back to sports

You need to be checked clinically first of all. Mcl if it's femoral side or midsubstance tear then it can be managed non operatively in brace for 4-6 weeks. Mcl if it's a complete tear over tibial side which we call as the stener lesion will require surgery now ACL has to be operated now or later not an emergency but note that you have good range of motion

Acl surgery is not an emergency surgery. We prefer to wait till the patient has good movement and strength. Role of brace is also questionable, but should not cause any harm if you r doing your exercises regularly
