Tingling sensations are a byproduct of COMPRESSION TO NERVE and /or NERVE REPAIR. In your case It appears that you were Sitting/ Ling Down / Looking / Sleeping in a Very bad Posture which might have caused this tingling. If its a Disc herniation , Sorry to say that the problem will continue every time you mess up with the position of neck (i.e. keeping it down (flexed)). Things that you should not do are:
1>Never keep your head bent for long. (for using Mobile Devices, Laptops, Computer, TV , Reading Newspaper /articles etc, preparing Meals etc...)
2> NEVER DISCONTINUE neck strengthening Exercises.
3> Never Sleep with a raised pillow / pillow too low. (the Pilow Should Support your Neck region only if lying on side pillow should cover the distance between surface of bed and your ear. i.e the gap of shoulder))
Next Steps
Keep your posture as normal as possible Consult Your Occupational Therapist for that or see my other Answers, follow Precautions and continue with exercises
