Cavity in wisdom teeth

2019-01-21 09:07:18
I was having a severe pain in my teeths few months back, I thought the pain was in the Lower end of my right right but after a checkup I got to know it was in the upper Right wisdom teeth because of cavity. Is going for a root canal better or extraction of the wisdom teeth? After from that doctor suggested me to do filling in 10- 12 teeth as they have cavity. And a clean up to to make my teeth clean. It is costing more than 21000 for all the treatment and as being a student I don't have that type of money, neither I want to pressurize my parents. What will be the best thing to do in this situation? I have attached the image of my wisdom teeth along with the xray

hello sir.... your clinical picture shows you may have deep cavitation on your wisdom tooth that needs EXTRACTION.... As it is the wisdom tooth it is better to go for EXTRACTION then doing ROOT CANAL TREATMENT... As the 3 rd molar doesn't have any root canal configuration it may be possible to miss one or two canals which leads to reinfection of the canal if we do root canal treatment of that wisdom tooth.... EXTRACTION of the third molar doesnot cause affect chewing efficiency and speech.... as your affordability is low you can go to government hospitals and dental college hospitals where you can get treatment done for lowest cost
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist immediately without delay and get the treatment done

Hi mam greetings. 1-Kindly dont postpone the extraction of your 3 rd molar, because slowly it may lead to form an abscess. 2-after extraction also follow oral hygeine properly, since it is last tooth food deposits will easily accumulate there leading to delay in healing of socket.
Next Steps
First finish ur extraction, after proper healing go for fillings with each x ray (iopa or rvg), with glass ionomer cement,or a light cure composite, because always preventive measure is better than doing big treatment like root canal or extraction.
Health Tips
1-Do not keep clove or any other home remedies in the cavity or pain giving tooth area, it may increase the severity. 2-Don't take any painkilles or any self medication.

Hello mam, first you do the treatment for your major complaint.... You have severe pain in your wisdom tooth, that is your chief complaint... First do extraction for your wisdom tooth, which will cost you around 2-3k only.... Later on, you can do your cleaning and your other teeth fillings one by one...

You need a wisdom tooth extraction. Root canal is not the treatment. Would advise you to get the treatment done from a dental college to be cost effective.
Next Steps

You can get it done in a government hospital. It may take more time but will definitely cost less. Get the wisdom tooth extracted
