Kindly attach Photograph. If the caries are superficial then you can wait and follow the instructions given by your dentist.

Pls attach the pic of the cavity , if it’s deep cavity it needs to be filled immediately but if it’s early cavity it can be filled in the middle of the treatment or at the end of the treatment.

Hi if it is superficial decay Dr can fix it while the braces treatment, as Dr said it can be filled after completion of braces treatment I think there is no need to worry. Dr advised you GC tooth mousse to prevent further progression.
Next Steps
Just see that your child maintains good oral hygiene.

It would of be helpful if you could share a picture of the carious tooth. Caries should be taken care of right away or else it may lead to further bigger issues

A superficial cavity/ initial White Spot Lesion can wait till the end of treatment as the continuous use of GC Tooth Mousse and judicious maintenance of oral hygiene will not allow the cavity to progress. But a deep cavity needs to be attended to immediately.
Next Steps
Send a clinical picture and an XRAY of the concerned tooth/ OPG that would have been done so as to have a proper assessment of the tooth.
Health Tips
Maintain oral hygiene, use orthodontic brushes, a mouthwash and have regular visits with your orthodontist.
