hello sir.. You can start brushing the teeth once the child teeth starts erupting..you should use non fluoridated tooth paste for the children below 3 years old.....as there is more chance for swallowing of fluoridated tooth paste...use only pea sized amount of tooth paste and do use small head bristles.

Hello Sir. There’s no rule but certainly you should start keeping teeth clean once the teeth erupt . The important part is to not use a fluoride toothpaste in kids below the age of 2 years as they can swallow the toothpaste and ingestion of fluoride is a health hazard. Use a small toothbrush with only pea sized toothpaste. It’s advisable to start using regular toothpaste ( fluoride containing) after 2 years of age.

To maintain proper oral hygiene rubbing of the gums with pea sized toothpaste can be done in this age but start using a kids/ pedodontic soft toothbrush after the age of 1.5 years with kids toothpaste..Cleaning of the oral cavity is must.

Hello mam, you can start using a small size soft brush around the age of 1.5-2 yrs. Use small pea size paste on brush for your child. You may also use kids paste.
